New Bajaj Pulsar 200SS spyshots suggest that the bike could come with a Black-Gold paint scheme. This takes the tally of speculated paint jobs on the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS up to four, including the black and white, yellow, blue and red ones spotted earlier.
The source claims that the spy pictures originate from Bajaj's Akurdi manufacturing facility near Pune. These vehicles were showcased to a bunch of interested "Naked Wolf Community" members from Indonesia, at the behest of Kawasaki Motor Indonesia. It is to be noted that while spy photos of the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS have been flooding the Indian media for some time now, there has been no official statement from Bajaj Auto so far about the launch.
In this backdrop, a private showoff gig for our Indonesian friends suggests something! :D
Indonesia could turn out to be one of the major markets for Bajaj's upcoming generation of sport bikes. Infact, it could assume much more importance than that of the Indian market. Even though it is moving northwards, the Indian market probably still remains geared towards smaller, more fuel-efficient motorcycles due to economical and infrastructure reasons. Much of Bajaj's reach in the Indonesian market is built around Kawasaki's network, and the Japanese company could arm-twist Bajaj for some demands. :D
The Bajaj Pulsar 200SS will be powered by the same 199.5 cc powerplant used in the Pulsar 200NS. However, the manufacturer could carry out some retuning to tilt the characteristics a bit towards the sportier side. There will be two variants of the Bajaj Pulsar 200SS; one equipped with ABS and the other without ABS. Speculations point that the ABS variant will be around 15k-20k INR pricier over the Non-ABS variant.
Bajaj Auto has claimed a total of six new model launches within the first six months of this year. Will the Pulsar 200SS be one of them? Rumor mills have pegged the probable price in the region of 1.2 - 1.4 lakhs INR.
