Yamaha R15 Gets Two New Paint Schemes

Yamaha India has done it again! Just before Holi, they decided to play with colours and have launched the YZF-R15 in two new paint schemes.

The two new paint schemes are : Streaking Cyan and GP Blue. The GP Blue bears striking resemblance to the paint used on the MotoGP versions of Yamaha's motorcycles, whereas the Streaking Cyan appears more funky.

The bikes are offered as Special Edition variants, and we are unsure if they will be available indefinitely. Nevertheless, these two editions possess no mechanical changes over the regular variants of Yamaha YZF-R15 already on sale. The motorbike will be powered by the same 149.8 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder powerplant. It will be capable of churning out a peak power of 17 PS, and 15 Nm of peak torque.

Both the Special Editions will be priced at an ex-Showroom price of INR 1.17 lakhs in Delhi.

This was what Roy Kurian, VP - Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd had to say about the new editions :

Yamaha R15 is a pure sports vehicle designed especially for racing enthusiasts so that they can experience the power and passion that a sportsbike has to offer. The racing DNA, sporty look and superior technology have been synonymous with the R15. While, the core concept of R15 remains the same, with these new colours we strive to continuously interact and excite our target audiences. As we launch the R15 Version 2.0 in 2 new avatars, we are again very confident that this new introduction will help to keep our target audiences absolutely delighted.
