Yamaha To Venture into Producing Motiv City Cars
Wondering if this is something new from Yamaha's side? Then you are absolutely wrong. Yamaha has a long and distinguished history of making fine car engines and outstanding motor cycles. It has been developing and building car engines for other companies including Toyota, Ford and Volvo for some years now. They even raced in F1 with their own V12 motor in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Howewer, they had not particularly entered the automotive industry until now when they have decided to make one.

Carburetion versus Fuel Injection
Dear auto-enthusiasts, Hello again !
In my last article, I had discussed about the components of the
Engine (ICE) and how they work in a synchronized way to convert heat energy into
mechanical force (Generating Power). During exploring the Otto Cycle, I had told
you that its second step is the “Induction Stroke” in which the
Charge( Fuel+Air) is sent into the Combustion Chamber of the engine. I assume,
most of you already know that the Charge is prepared either by a Carburetor or
a Fuel Injection System. Today, I am going to explain that how both of them
work, where they are best and where they are not so good. Let’s have a look.
OVERVIEW
To generate power efficiently, the fuel should be mixed with
air (oxygen) in such a way that almost all (most of) the fuel present in the
Combustion Chamber is burnt and produce maximum possible power without wasting
any fuel. This can be achieved by some sort of Carburetion technique, such as a
Carburetor or a Fuel Injection System. Whatever the Carburetion technique be,
there should be a source of fresh/dust-free air for it. This is achieved by
using an air filter. This air is then sent into the Carburetion Module to mix
with fuel. The charge so produced is then delivered into the Combustion Chamber
through the Intake Valve. Now let us discuss the different Carburetion
techniques.

A big Hello to all Motorbike and Car enthusiasts !!
I am Ishan Dev , the new Technical In-charge for the budding blog, Engine Freak.
I am here to share some information about Automobiles (Cars and Motorbikes) to endow our readers with some in-depth knowledge of the same, so that you guys can atleast stop the mechanics and the Service Centre crooks from making a fool of you, and if you want, a lot more. This is my first article here, so I would like to start with the basics of an engine, or should I say the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), for what it is called in the Automobile industry.

Spied : 2014 Ducati Monster glimpsed testing in Italy ?? Liam Neeson doing the honours ???
Quite a few days back, the alleged spyshots of a bike covered in what-appeared-to-be-chrome-coloured-confetti went on air on a few sites, the reputed MCN as well as an Italian automotive portal Moto.it being included in the list. The spied motorcycle is supposed to be the 2014 edition of the Ducati Monster, or so everyone has opined.
The pictures seemed to be of fairly good quality for them to be called Spyshots. Spotted in a quite-well-forested area

Porsche Cayman S breaks cover
Over the years, the lust for supercars has increased tremendously in India. Back in the 90's, anything other than the Ambassadors and the 800s seemed like an alien car loitering around. Now, after two decades the story is a bit different and people are now more often hearing the grunt of the V8 and V10 engines, thanks to the increasing amount of supercar makers investing and introducing their products in India.
Now coming to the topic Porsche India is celebrating the launch of the new Cayman S. The two seater has been completely revamped : It is longer, faster, more efficient as well as powerful than its predecessor. A longer wheelbase and larger wheels enhance the performance of the sports car to an unparalleled level.

From the Editor's desk......uhm, smartphone
There was a boy. From a very early age, he developed a penchant for rapid, stylish-looking bikes and cars. Lengthy hours would be exhausted just in leafing through the glossy pages of magazines like AutoCar and Overdrive. As time passed by, this healthy attraction burst forth into a demonic possession. A point came in his life when he had to make a choice, and quite unrelentingly, he picked his set of wheels over another dear possession of his.
